NotifyChargingLimitRequest (OCPP)
An OCPP message used by a charging station (or local controller) to inform the CSMS that the active charging limit changed due to an external source (e.g., EMS, smart meter, DSO signal).
Technical Details
When external controls impose or update a charging limit (for example setting a limit to 0 to delay charging), the station can report this change to the CSMS via NotifyChargingLimitRequest. This supports topologies where power control is shared between CSMS scheduling and local/external constraints.
Fleet Applications
Reduces surprises in depot KPIs and operations: charging power changes are explainable and auditable, helping planners avoid missed departures and enabling faster incident resolution.
