The level of charge of an electric battery relative to its capacity, expressed as a percentage.
Technical Details
Accurate SoC is critical for BMS (Battery Management System) health. In fleets, SoC is retrieved via telematics (API) or directly from the charger (ISO 15118).
Fleet Applications
Dispatchers need real-time SoC to know if a bus has enough range for its next route. Smart charging algorithms prioritize vehicles with low SoC.
