Instruction Notification (VDV 461 Rückkanal)
A VDV 461 mechanism for sending instructions (e.g., parking bay assignment) from the depot management system to ITCS and onward to drivers/vehicles.
Technical Details
VDV 461 supports a “Rückkanal” where the BMS can send free-form or structured instructions. A common use case is communicating the assigned depot parking/charging bay. The BMS can request different acknowledgement modes: manual driver acknowledgement, technical acknowledgement from the vehicle, or no acknowledgement.
Fleet Applications
Enables closed-loop depot orchestration: the BMS assigns bays based on arrival forecasts and charging plans, then confirms that instructions were delivered/acknowledged to reduce operational errors.

VDV 461 (SIRI/VDV461 BMS Interface)
Standardized interface for exchanging operational and dispatch-relevant data between an ITCS and a depot management system (BMS) using SIRI-based services.
VDV 463 (Charging Management Interface)
Standardized interface for data exchange between depot/ITCS “pre-systems” and charging management, so charging and preconditioning can be planned and synchronized for e-bus depots.
