Fenexity was represented at The smarter E Europe in Munich from 23 to 25 June 2026. The event provided the right setting to discuss the links between renewable energy, storage, charging infrastructure, and the operation of electric commercial fleets.

Energy integration starts in operations

For fleets, the energy transition becomes real when it works in everyday depot operations. Charging windows, electricity procurement, grid constraints, and the use of storage all affect one another. Energy integration is therefore not only a question of individual hardware components; it is above all a question of operations and the right digital control. The conversations in Munich sharpened this perspective. Anyone connecting charging infrastructure with renewable generation and storage also needs transparency into the fleet's operational requirements. The goal remains dependable vehicle readiness, even when energy prices, generation, or connection capacity change.

Flexibility as the next design challenge

Alongside the direct integration of renewable energy, future flexibility options such as vehicle-to-grid scenarios were also in focus. For Fenexity, this is not a promise for a single use case, but an important area to observe and shape: flexibility is only useful when fleet operations always remain the priority. We are taking valuable impulses from The smarter E Europe with us. They reinforce our conviction that charging and energy decisions should not be treated in isolation, but designed as one operationally robust system.
